Dudley’s Story

Minimally invasive heart procedure helps 102-year-old WWII veteran stay active

At 102 years old, WWII veteran Dudley began noticing shortness of breath during his daily walks. A visit to his cardiologist revealed severe aortic stenosis, a serious condition in which the aortic valve narrows, limiting blood flow from the heart to the rest of the body.

Dudley was treated using a minimally invasive procedure known as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).

More than three years later, Dudley continues to lead an active lifestyle, returning to the daily walks he enjoys most — a testament to the life-changing impact of advanced cardiovascular care.
